I hope everyone had a great 4th! I spent mine at home with some of my favorites, grilling cheeseburgers and making watermelon margaritas. We even caught a bit of the fireworks, the bottom of them because the fog covered most of the action. Currently cannot get enough of Old Navy’s neckerchiefs. This zip top crossbody bag has been a life saver as well while I’ve been bouncing around San Francisco this week. Gotta keep your goodies zipped up!
Lake Como, Italy was seriously such a dream. I’ll be sharing a lot more about that on the blog when we get home! We’ve moved on from Como now but I wanted to share some photos I shot while I was there. It’s much more chilly than we imagined after the sun goes down (think San Francisco weather) so this long sleeve lace-up and Rockstar jeans came in handy! It’s hard to beat this comfy crossbody bag, which has been perfect for traveling.
HELLO THERE! I’m honestly trying to remember the last pair of denim I’ve purchased that weren’t straight from Old Navy and I can’t even. These High Rise Rockstars have quickly become my new favorites. They’re thick and distressed in the right places and you cannot beat the price! I’m loving the neckerchief trend at the moment but it was 77 degrees over the weekend while I shot these photos so tied to the bag it went!
This embroidered dress from My Kind Of Lovely is so cozy and flattering. I can’t stop buying anything embroidered and hope this trend stays around for a while because there are so many great pieces out there right now. I’m super into this dress as it can be a summer dress but also can transition into a fall dress as well with the girly bell sleeves.
I cannot get over this white fedora by Janessa Leone. I was reluctant to wear it the first couple of times due to makeup smudges and life in general. This bad boy has flown off my head in Napa and after chasing it down through a vineyard, I can say it is a winner! Easy to wipe clean and the most comfortable hat I own. Also perfect to keep all my crazy hair in one place during this San Francisco wind we’ve been getting. Whoever calls Chicago the “Windy City” hasn’t lived in SF.
One of my favorite things about San Francisco is the amount of unique shopping options available. Whether you’re strolling down Valencia, Hayes or Fillmore; there are more than enough boutiques to pick up items that you know you won’t be seeing on every girl in town. They’re all so different and to dieeeee for. I picked this tunic up at a new (to me) boutique, Elizabeth Charles, on Fillmore Street. This Lemlem Tunic is handwoven by artisans in Ethiopia. So cool! This classic on trend boutique carries my current favorite sunglass brand Le Specs (THESE are amazing), Janessa Leone hats (tried on this one and fell in love with the metal accent), Self Portrait dresses (the perfect dresses for any weddings you’re attending this summer!) plus loads more.
I’ve been seriously lusting over bright spring time items for a few weeks now. San Francisco’s two day “winter” hasn’t helped my obsession either. I’m leaving for Mexico in 65 days (who’s counting?) and have my eye on these goodies! I remember seeing this Free People dress last season in red but it wasn’t my color. It’s a bit of a splurge but the blue is so beautiful and flattering! I’ve already gotten this MINKPINK swimsuit and cannot wait to rock it! And what do I love more than a vanilla cone? Nothing.
Do you know how many times I’ve walked past the Naturalizer store without batting an eye? For the longest time, Naturalizer was a brand my parents and maybe even my grandparents would invest in. Not me! Until now.
When the ladies at Naturalizer invited me out to try on their new fall collection and learn about fall trends from their Lead Designer, Angelique Joseph, I jumped at the opportunity. The closer I get to 30, the more comfort appeals to me. You certainly don’t have to sacrifice comfort for style as Naturalizer does a great job at doing both!
Angelique presented their Fall/Winter 2015 collection as well as some of its inspiration: Luxe Casual (think statement necklace and a basic tee) and Nu Bohemia (an outdoor feel, blending artisan with historical handcrafted looks). You can expect a wider range of sizes, lots of zippered details and on-trend styles.
Angelique also told us about the brand new @Work Collection, featuring Ortholite technology. The Naturalizer@work Collection is designed to enhance your performance while keeping you safe, comfortable and stylish. These would be perfect for anyone in the healthcare or restaurant industry!
I would totally be lying if I told you I didn’t try all 8 of these boots on. It was hard to choose a favorite but I always tend to go toward black and gold! Click through my favorites from Naturalizer‘s Fall Line:
Thank you to Naturalizer for having me and for my new favorite fall booties!
Poncho weather might not be here just yet but it is on its merry way! I’m looking forward to finding more cozy sweater type ponchos and call me basic, but extra excited about switching out my cold brew for hot coffee drinks.
The weather sure has been intense in San Francisco this week. My friends and family back home might think I’m a little crazy but what everyone seems to forget is that we don’t have air conditioning. The buses don’t have air conditioning. Many businesses don’t have air conditioning. Shew, it has been a hot one. We’ve been sleeping with the windows wide open and the fans blasting. I’m very much looking forward to some crisp weather but until then, I’ll be busting out the light weight tanks and sandals.
